Characteristics: colorless needle-like crystal or white crystalline powder, melting point 132-135 ° C, boiling point 228 ° C (decomposition), hardly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol and other organic solvents.

Application: Mainly used in food and cosmetics, medicine and health products, antiseptic and preservation of tobacco industry; as unsaturated acid, it can also be used in resin, perfume and rubber industry.
